Vancouver Lions Club Vancouver Lions Foundation

The Vancouver Lions Foundation is the official charitable arm of the Vancouver Lions Club. It is a Washington non–profit corporation and is also qualified as a §501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The Vancouver Lions Foundation helps the Vancouver Lions Club improve the lives of people in its community through grants and donations to local individuals and charitable organizations, and around the world through its support of the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

The Foundation is funded from the fundraising activities of the Vancouver Lions Club and from private donations and contributions. The Vancouver Lions Club pays all costs of administering and operating the Vancouver Lions Foundation— No moneys received by the Foundation from the public are used for administrative expenses or operational costs.

To support the Vancouver Lions Club mission of serving its community, the Vancouver Lions Foundation provides monetary support to four major areas:

  • Saving sight.
  • Helping youth.
  • Relief from hearing loss.
  • Diabetes awareness.
  • Meeting humanitarian needs.

Grants from the Vancouver Lions Foundation have paid for scholarships to send diabetic children to camp, helped the Lions Hearing And Speech Conservation Committee Of Clark County to fund the purchase of hearing aids for the hearing impaired, assisted the Lions Sight Foundation of Clark County to fund optometric and other sight assistance to persons who can not afford sight care, funded travel expenses for visually impaired students to attend weight lifting, goal ball, and other sports–related activities, helped fund the purchase of new HVAC equipment to replace the aged and broken HVAC system at the, non–profit, School of Piano Technology for the Blind, and many other sight, hearing, youth and humanitarian needs.

The Vancouver Lions Foundation accepts donations of cash or cash equivalents.

How Do I Get A Grant?

To request funds from the Vancouver Lions Foundation, please: Send a letter to either the Vancouver Lions Club or to the Vancouver Lions Foundation at Post Office Box 441, Vancouver, Washington 98666, or; Send an email to either the Vancouver Lions Foundation president or secretary, with a detailed explanation of the purpose of the request together with reliable contact information.

All fund requests are determined by the Foundation's board of directors.
