Membership in the Vancouver Lions Club is open to all persons of good moral character and reputation who are over the age of 18. There are no limitations to membership based on business, profession, industry, employment, gender, gender identity, gender expression, religion, military service or affiliation.
Membership in the Vancouver Lions Club, as with all Lions clubs, is by invitation.
You need to fill out and submit an application for membership to be invited.
You may apply for membership by filling out this form and clicking the “Submit” button at the end of the form. The information you provide on this form will not be shared with anyone outside the Vancouver Lions Club or to the extent necessary to register your membership with Lions Clubs International.
Paper applcation forms are also available from any Club member or can be downloaded here, and you may also contact the Club's membership chair for a paper application form, or if you have questions.
The Club membership chair will contact you following receipt of your application.
A current Club member will ordinarily sponsor your membership, although Lions from other clubs can (and do) sponsor new members to the Vancouver Lions Club.
You do not need a sponsor to submit a membership application — you may submit your application directly to the Club before you have a sponsor.
You will be asked to attend a Club meeting so Club members can meet you and you can meet them. Your application will then be presented to the Club's board of directors at a regular business meeting.
Once your membership is approved and you have paid an entrance fee and Club dues you will be inducted into the Club and Lions Clubs International, usually at regular club dinner meeting.
